About This Role
Euronet’s Money Transfer segment, encompassing Ria Money Transfer, Xe, and Dandelion, is seeking a forward-thinking and commercially driven Head of Crypto & Stablecoin Strategy to lead our efforts in leveraging stablecoins and blockchain infrastructure to modernize global money movement.
This role is not about speculative crypto assets. It is about pragmatic, regulatory-aligned use of stablecoins to create faster, more transparent, and lower-cost cross-border payment rails. You will work across teams to deploy blockchain-based solutions that align with compliance, unlock efficiencies, and power next-generation remittance and B2B payment experiences.
Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Ownership
- Define and lead the stablecoin adoption strategy for the Money Transfer segment, focusing on real-world payment use cases.
- Identify where stablecoin-powered rails can enhance speed, liquidity, and cost-effectiveness in our remittance and payout infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product, Tech, and Compliance to design and roll out stablecoin-integrated payment flows across retail, business, and API-driven services.
Execution & Enablement
- Lead the evaluation and integration of blockchain networks that support stablecoins (e.g. Ethereum, Stellar, Solana, Polygon).
- Define on-ramp and off-ramp mechanisms for converting between fiat and stablecoins (e.g. USDC, EURC, PYUSD).
- Coordinate implementation of settlement models using stablecoins, including real-time liquidity management and multi-currency support.
Regulatory Alignment
- Ensure stablecoin solutions comply with global and regional regulations (e.g. MiCA in the EU, FinCEN and state-level regulations in the US, and VASP regimes elsewhere).
- Work closely with internal legal and compliance teams to manage licensing, custody, transaction monitoring, and reporting obligations.
- Monitor regulatory changes and shape responses to policy developments affecting stablecoins and digital settlement instruments.
Ecosystem Development
- Build relationships with stablecoin issuers, custodians, wallets, and blockchain infrastructure providers.
- Represent Euronet in industry forums and working groups shaping the future of digital currencies and stablecoin policy.
- Track developments in CBDCs and tokenized bank money, assessing strategic relevance.
Commercial and Operational Impact
- Develop business cases for stablecoin use in existing and new corridors, including remittances, treasury optimization, and FX innovations.
- Define KPIs for blockchain and stablecoin initiatives, including cost reduction, speed improvements, and user experience enhancements.
- Support commercial teams in positioning stablecoin capabilities to financial institutions, fintechs, and payout partners.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience in fintech, payments, or blockchain, with a proven track record of deploying digital asset infrastructure.
- Deep knowledge of stablecoins, including their issuance models, technical design, and regulatory status.
- Experience integrating blockchain-based payment solutions (especially using USDC, EURC, or similar).
- Solid understanding of the cross-border payments ecosystem and global remittance flows.
- Familiarity with AML/CFT compliance and licensing standards applicable to digital assets and money transmission.
Preferred Skills
- Experience engaging with regulators or industry bodies on crypto/stablecoin topics.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive change in a global, matrixed organization.
- Hands-on understanding of wallets, custody models, key management, and blockchain protocols.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
WHY JOIN US
- Lead the stablecoin and blockchain agenda at the heart of a global payment network moving tens of billions of dollars annually.
- Work on meaningful financial infrastructure innovation with real-world, high-volume impact.
- Be part of a purpose-driven organization focused on financial inclusion, speed, and transparency in money movement.
- Enjoy a global role with high visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to define a category-leading strategy.
