(team) Lead Kubernetes Platform Engineer Utrecht | €105k + 10% Bonus | Self-service IDP development 24/7 logistics platform | Inhouse role 50% WFH Do you want to design and build self-service functionality on a Cloud-native hybrid cloud platform? Do you get energy from taking the technical leadership of two teams, that are responsible for international connectivity and and compute? My client is an interesting phase now, as they are going through a big digital transformation towards a more agile/DevOps culture. Herefore they are re-hiring the platform teams. In your tribe you will work alongside Platform/Network/Cloud/Security & Site reliability engineers (15 in total), 1 PO and a engineering manager. The platform supports 35 internal DevOps and DataOps teams. Impact is one of the words to be highlighted here. As a Lead Kubernetes platform engineer you get the chance to set-up new Kubernetes nodes, both on premise, on the edge (Talos) and in Azure (AKS). You’ll design the platform to be redundant and mission critical (99.99% availability). Minutes of downtime, disrupt the global supply chain, and that means unhappy stakeholders. Stack: Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Python/GO, Datadog, Keycloak, Backstage, Talos, Backstage Responsibilities you will have: - Technical Enablement – have a vision on Platform Engineering and influence people; - Mentoring, hiring and set up best practices; - PoC work, build solutions to implement. - Design cloud infrastructure/architecture; - Building Self-service functionality; - Migrating existing workloads to your platform; What you’ll bring: - 7+ years of working experience as Software, DevOps, Platform Engineering - 3+ years working with cloud, IaC and cloud engineering - 2+ years working with K8s - Technical Leadership: 1+ year - Speaking Dutch (b2 minimum) & English Benefits: A base compensation op to €105k + 10% bonus + 25+% pension scheme, 3 days WFH per week.
