We are looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer | Palo Alto, Fortinet & F5 🛡️ To join an enterprise Secure Connectivity & Application Protection environment responsible for protecting connectivity between users, datacenters, cloud platforms and business-critical applications. The engineering scope covers different layers of the same security ecosystem: Next-Generation Firewalls and network segmentation, secure connectivity, Application Delivery, WAF/WAAP and hybrid/cloud security. We are looking for specialists across different technical workstreams. Deep expertise in Palo Alto, Fortinet or F5 is more important than having experience with the entire stack. Skills 🎯 +5 years of experience within Network Security / Security Engineering in enterprise environments; 🎯 Strong hands-on expertise in at least one core technology domain: Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet or F5 BIG-IP; 🎯 Next-Generation Firewall engineering covering security policies, NAT, VPN, segmentation and controlled network communication; 🎯 Palo Alto environments including PAN-OS, Panorama and enterprise firewall management; 🎯 Fortinet environments including FortiGate, with exposure to centralized management and security policy administration; 🎯 F5 BIG-IP / Application Delivery technologies supporting application traffic, load balancing, availability and secure publishing; 🎯 WAF / WAAP concepts for protecting web applications and APIs against application-layer threats; 🎯 Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, routing and network traffic flows; 🎯 Troubleshooting across network, firewall and application layers, identifying connectivity, policy and traffic-management issues; 🎯 Security across hybrid environments, connecting datacenter, cloud and externally exposed services; 🎯 Professional English within international engineering environments. Your Responsibilities ✅ Engineer and evolve secure enterprise connectivity across datacenter, cloud and distributed infrastructure; ✅ Design and maintain Next-Generation Firewall controls governing communication between users, networks, applications and external services; ✅ Configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto or Fortinet security environments according to your main area of specialization; ✅ Define and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN connectivity and network segmentation, ensuring controlled communication between different security zones; ✅ Analyse complex incidents involving routing, connectivity, firewall policies, network flows and application access, identifying root causes rather than applying temporary fixes; ✅ Support secure exposure of business-critical applications through Application Delivery Controllers, load balancing and traffic-management technologies; ✅ Engineer and operate F5 BIG-IP environments, contributing to availability, performance and secure application delivery; ✅ Implement and maintain WAF / WAAP policies protecting web applications and APIs exposed across internal, external and cloud environments; ✅ Analyse HTTP/S and TLS traffic flows, supporting troubleshooting and security controls across the application delivery layer; ✅ Contribute to security controls protecting hybrid and cloud connectivity, maintaining consistent policies between on-premise and cloud-hosted environments; ✅ Participate in changes, migrations, upgrades and security improvements across large-scale network and application-security infrastructure; ✅ Work alongside Network, Cloud, Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure connectivity, availability and security remain aligned across the environment.
