Cloud Security Engineer (DevSecOps) | Belfast, Hybrid Our client is a fast-growing cloud security company, using runtime data to identify and prioritise the risks that matter most, giving customers end-to-end protection across their cloud infrastructure. They're hiring a Cloud Security Engineer as the founding UK member of their Security organisation, owning UK-hours coverage and working closely with analysts, researchers and backend engineers, with a clear path to technical or team leadership as the UK presence grows. What You'll Do: - Secure and review customer cloud and Kubernetes environments, identifying risks and recommending improvements. - Investigate supply chain, API, malware and runtime attacks, then automate detection and response through playbooks and tooling. - Help fine-tune detection and response mechanisms, working with engineering teams to improve detection quality. - Own complex or critical incidents escalated from Tier 1/2, including live customer engagements. - Join recurring customer meetings, translating findings into clear recommendations. Experience: - Hands-on DevSecOps, cloud security or security engineering experience, ideally from a cloud or cloud security company. - Strong cloud skills across AWS, GCP or Azure, plus Docker/Kubernetes and Linux. - Python/Bash scripting and automation, with networking fundamentals. - Good grounding in detection, incident response and threat analysis, including supply chain, API, malware and runtime attack techniques. - Confident engaging customers directly and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment. - Willing to join a shared on-call rotation.
