Job Mission As Google Solution Architect, you act as a trusted partner and consultant to DevOps teams, helping them design and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions. You support their journey by co-creating architectures, sharing knowledge, aligning on joint milestone planning, educating teams on cloud cost awareness, and developing Proof of Concepts (POC’s) or Minimum Viable Products (MVP’s) to accelerate innovation and validate approaches. This role sits within the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), whose mission is to deliver a scalable, reliable, and automated cloud platform. The team enables efficient and sustainable cloud adoption across the organisation, maximizing value realization, mitigating risks, and supporting business growth through innovation in cloud technologies. Job Description As an Google Solution Architect, you will support DevOps teams in designing and deploying solutions on the Google platform. You will be working in the CCoE team, an international, multi-disciplinary team consisting of approximately 75+ highly motivated professionals. Responsibilities - Provide expertise and leadership in cloud onboarding across Azure and Google Cloud, covering both technology and process aspects. Your main focus will be Google. - Educate and guide DevOps teams in designing client’s-compliant, secure, and scalable cloud architectures tailored to their needs. - Act as a consulting partner to DevOps teams, helping them achieve their objectives and remove roadblocks throughout their cloud journey. - Serve as the main point of contact for DevOps teams and represent the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) as an ambassador. - Promote cloud cost awareness and educate teams on strategies to manage and optimize cloud spend. - Test and develop new cloud technologies and be hands-on when needed to validate solutions or accelerate adoption. - Identify service gaps and collaborate with the CCoE product owner to enhance the overall customer experience. - Contribute to the design and review of cloud architectures for cloud-native and hybrid applications. - Support DevOps teams in improving automation capabilities, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. - Document the solution design and all other relevant information. Education Bachelor’s/Master degree in IT, Business Management, Computer Science or Electronics Experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect. - Proficient in Google Cloud (must-have); experience with Microsoft Azure is a strong plus. - Hands-on experience designing, configuring, and using IaaS services such as Virtual Machines, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), networking, and storage. - Skilled in designing and implementing PaaS solutions including Web Apps, managed databases, Kubernetes, Data Lake, and Databricks. - Proficient in working with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub. - Deep understanding of cloud-based data integration patterns and modern data architectures. - Strong troubleshooting skills for complex application deployment scenarios. - Engineering and coding experience applied in agile development environments. - Proven track record in technical architecture design, solution definition, and managing change and risk. - Experience working in large, international organizations or with global service providers Skills and experience - Passionate about driving innovation and adopting new technology solutions. - Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. - Self-starter who can operate independently with minimal supervision. - Recognized as a subject matter expert with a collaborative, knowledge-sharing mindset. - Effective communicator with strong presentation skills, capable of articulating and promoting solutions clearly. - Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership capabilities in cross-functional environments. - Proficient in creating clear, structured, and high-quality documentation. - Delivers high-value, actionable advice based on accurate interpretation of stakeholder needs. - Communicates ideas effectively in both individual and group settings, adapting language to the audience and providing constructive feedback.
