Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, hybrid role based in London, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. The CTO will lead the overall technology vision and execution for Agentic Collective, ensuring that AI consultancy, products, and automation initiatives align with client needs and the company’s strategic direction. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing software and product development, guiding technical architecture decisions, and setting IT strategy that supports scalable, secure, and compliant solutions. The CTO will manage technical projects from concept to delivery, collaborate with consulting teams to design AI-driven offerings, and build and mentor a high-performing engineering and product organization. The role also involves engaging with clients and partners, evaluating emerging AI technologies, and defining standards and best practices to minimize risk while maximizing impact. Qualifications - Strong background in Software Development and Architecture, with experience designing and delivering complex, cloud-based and AI-enabled systems. - Proficiency in IT Strategy and Project Management, including overseeing roadmaps, budgets, risk management, and cross-functional delivery. - Demonstrated expertise in Product Development, from discovery and validation through launch and iteration, ideally in AI or data-driven products. - Experience leading technology teams, including hiring, mentoring, and establishing engineering and product best practices. - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive audiences. - Track record of working in consultancy, professional services, or B2B technology environments is highly beneficial. - Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, data platforms, and automation tools, and awareness of security, compliance, and ethical considerations in AI. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Comfort operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting and collaborating in a hybrid London-based work environment.
