Technical Co-founder & CTO, Insurance AI (Stealth) What we're building Claims teams still process medical and claim documents largely by hand: reading scanned reports, deciphering handwriting, re-keying data, chasing missing information. We automate that layer. Our system ingests claim files, extracts and structures what matters, and gives claims handlers a reviewed, auditable output instead of a pile of PDFs. This isn't an idea on a slide. The product is live in a pilot with an insurer's claims team, a new version shipped in September, and we're backed by an AI company with deployments in healthcare. What you'll own - The full technical stack: architecture, models, infrastructure, security - Document understanding in production: OCR, handwriting recognition, layout parsing, LLM-based extraction and validation - Evaluation: accuracy on real claim files, error analysis, human-in-the-loop review flows - Integrations with insurer claims systems (APIs, on-premise options) - Hiring and leading the engineering team as it grows Must have - Shipped ML or document AI systems that real users relied on - Strong engineering fundamentals (Python, cloud, data pipelines) - Comfortable owning everything, with no one above you on the technical side Strong plus - Insurance experience: claims, underwriting, fraud, or payer-side health - Handwriting or noisy-scan OCR experience - Experience with regulated data (GDPR, health data) What you get - Co-founder equity with vesting - A live product and a paying-customer path, not a blank page - Direct access to insurer users and fast feedback loops - Remote within Europe; Zagreb a plus Process Intro call, then NDA and full context, then paid technical trial or working sessions, then terms.
