💼 Hiring: Python Finance Developer - UBQ Group (UBQ.io) 📍 Remote (Global) | 🕐 Date not provided | 💰 Not provided | 🔗 Python / FastAPI / BigQuery / React / TypeScript / GCP UBQ Group (UBQ.io) is hiring a Finance Developer to build an internal web platform that supports portfolio management for its finance and operations teams. The role covers features from data queries and calculation logic through to the user interface. 📋 Responsibilities include: - Design, build and maintain platform features, including summary metrics, interactive tables and data visualisations - Translate valuation, P&L attribution, exposure and cost basis into well-tested backend logic - Reconcile figures against source systems and existing reporting - Write and optimise SQL queries against the cloud data warehouse - Keep the platform fast via caching, performance tuning and error handling - Work with finance and operations stakeholders to gather requirements and validate results 🔑 Requirements: - Solid professional Python experience building backend services or data applications - Understanding of positions, P&L (daily, MTD, YTD, ITD), NAV, exposure and cost basis - Comfort writing non-trivial SQL, ideally on BigQuery or another cloud warehouse - Strong attention to detail, with testing and number reconciliation - Clear communication and confidence to challenge and clarify finance requirements - MSc in Finance, or progress towards CFA or CAIA (Level I or above), or equivalent 🛠 Nice-to-have: - React and TypeScript, especially data-heavy UIs - BI and reporting tools or analytics dashboards - Asset management, fund administration, treasury or fintech background - Multi-asset portfolios: equities, fixed income, digital assets and commodities - Google Cloud and caching strategies 📩 To apply: Apply: https://careers.ubq.io/o/python-finance-developer-100-remote-worldwide 🔗 Original post: https://lnkd.in/p/d8MBuvHG 🛠 Builder Toolkit: Building finance tools that turn data into reliable products?
