ABOUT MERCOR
Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We're a leading AI data company, building the layer between human expertise and frontier models. Millions of domain experts on the platform are paid over $4 million per day to train frontier AI models. Mercor's APEX benchmark family measures AI's real-world impact on professional work. Mercor Enterprise brings this same infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies: helping companies capture how their best people actually work, translating that expertise directly back into agents.
Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.
About the role:
Evals and post-training are among the largest new markets in AI, and the category is still being defined. We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to shape that category and own how Mercor’s offerings are positioned and sold.
Mercor works with the world’s leading AI labs, application-layer companies, and a growing set of enterprises to supply the human expertise behind frontier models. Enterprise evals are one of our top priorities. The buyers are technical, and the market moves fast.
You’ll work directly with product, research, and GTM, and partner with growth marketing on driving pipeline.
Key responsibilities:
- Category creation and point of view: Turn Mercor’s point of view into work technical buyers cite, from research-backed narratives to executive talks.
- Positioning and messaging: Own the core narrative for Mercor’s evals and post-training offerings, including value props by segment, messaging frameworks
- Launches: Plan and run product launches end to end with product, research, and marketing so they land with technical buyers, move deals, and make noise online.
- Buyer research: Become the internal expert on how AI researchers, data leads, and enterprise AI teams buy. Bring what you learn back to product and leadership.
- Sales enablement: Give our engagement managers the pitch, demo storyline, and proof points they need, and keep them current as the products change.
- Competitive intelligence: Own competitive positioning, battlecards, and objection handling; use competitive input to inform pricing and packaging decisions.
- Customer proof: Partner with customer marketing to turn evals and post-training customers into case studies and references.
- Campaigns: Partner with growth in the interim on campaigns that build pipeline for evals and post-training.
Must haves:
- You have 8-10 years of product marketing experience at an early-stage or high-growth B2B company.
- You’ve helped define or reshape a category.
- You’ve worked on a small marketing team and can flex across responsibilities.
- You know how to market to technical buyers, and you follow evals and post-training research closely enough to debate methodology with a researcher.
- You’re an exceptional writer with a high bar for quality.
- You’ve built product marketing processes from scratch, like launch tiering or an enablement cadence.
- You build relationships and earn trust with senior stakeholders across product, research, and sales.
- You use AI tools to speed up your own work and have built workflows beyond chat.
Bonus
- Experience at a company that sells to or partners with AI labs
- Background in AI infrastructure, data, or developer tools marketing
- Familiarity with the AI benchmarking or evals landscape
