This is a fully office-based position in Rotterdam, providing close collaboration with engineering, platform, and product teams. The Role - Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Improve platform reliability, performance, security, and operational efficiency - Develop infrastructure as code solutions and automate operational processes - Monitor production systems and proactively identify opportunities for improvement - Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews - Define and implement SRE best practices, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets - Partner with software engineers to improve application reliability and deployment processes - Support CI/CD pipelines and drive automation across the software delivery lifecycle - Optimise cloud environments to balance performance, resilience, and cost - Contribute to the long-term cloud and platform engineering roadmap Your Skills & Experience - Strong commercial experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps roles - Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native architectures - Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containerisation, and orchestration technologies - Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools - Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and deployment automation - Experience monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar - Strong understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems - Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and drive sustainable solutions - Experience working closely with software engineering teams in agile environments - Excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset What They Offer - Salary of €80,000 - €95,000 depending on experience - Annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package - A modern cloud-native technology environment with significant investment in GCP - Career progression opportunities within a growing engineering function - Exposure to large-scale infrastructure and business-critical platforms - Ongoing learning and professional development support - A collaborative, office-based culture in Rotterdam How to Apply If you are a Site Reliability Engineer with strong GCP experience and are looking for a role where you can drive reliability, automation, and cloud excellence, apply today to learn more about this opportunity.
