The entire trade lifecycle runs in software, and the code written in this role produces legal documents and regulatory filings, so correctness matters. 📋 Responsibilities include: - Own features end to end, from schema and migration to service logic, API, and UI - Build with React + TypeScript, Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, pydantic), MySQL, and Kafka - Work on event-driven booking, papering, reporting, and reconciliation pipelines - Contribute to pricing and funding code where precision and auditability are required - Ship on AWS (ECS Fargate, Aurora MySQL, CDK) - Report directly to the Head of Engineering, with hands-on support and close review 🔑 Requirements / Must-have: - 3 to 5 years of full-stack experience - Strong Python and React/TypeScript, plus solid relational data modeling - Self-directed, communicative, and comfortable moving fast 🛠 Nice-to-have / Preferred: - Kafka or similar event-driven experience is strongly preferred - Financial, trading, or crypto experience is a plus but not required 🌍 Location & Time Zone: - Primarily remote - The team meets in Jersey City weekly or every other week, and attendance at those meetups is ideal 📩 To apply: Email laura@swapglobal.com or message Laura A.
