Senior / Staff Software Engineer

Job place: Onsite Job type: Full time Job location: San Francisco, CA Govra builds the operating system modern governments run on. We turn dense statutes and tangled rules into executable workflows, embedding intelligence directly into the work so agencies make faster, more accurate and more consistent decisions at scale. We're starting with tax, one of the highest volumes in government, where better decisions mean more revenue, better public services and improved trust between citizens and the state. The result: government that works at the speed of the people it serves. We are seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to help build and scale Govra’s intelligent operating system for governments. You will work closely with the founders, customers and product design teams to ship vital real systems in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. This role is ideal for someone who can go deep technically, think from first principles about product and UX, and move quickly from customer workflows to production code.
