Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Build the Azure platform that powers one of the UK's fastest-growing insurance groups. At Clear Group, we're investing heavily in our technology landscape and looking for an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to take ownership of our Azure platform. This is more than an infrastructure role. You'll be the Azure subject matter expert, helping shape cloud strategy, influence architecture and ensure our platforms remain secure, resilient and scalable as we continue to grow. Working closely with Infrastructure, Data, Security and Delivery teams, you'll lead the design and evolution of our Azure estate, driving automation, governance and cloud best practice across the organisation. What you'll be doing - Owning the technical direction of our Azure platform. - Designing secure, scalable and high-performing cloud solutions. - Developing Infrastructure as Code using Bicep. - Driving Azure governance, security and operational excellence. - Supporting cloud migrations and modernisation initiatives. - Optimising performance, resilience and cost management. - Providing technical leadership and mentoring across the technology function. What we're looking for - Strong hands-on Azure engineering experience in enterprise environments. - Expertise across networking, security, governance and cloud operations. - Experience with Azure Landing Zones, Entra ID, RBAC and Azure Policy. - Strong Infrastructure as Code skills, particularly Bicep. - Experience supporting business-critical production platforms. - Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification.
