Role Description As an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at EliteResume, you will design, implement, and optimize machine learning models that power our resume scoring, recommendation, and AI writing features. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions, including NLP models that understand resumes, job descriptions, and career histories. Typical tasks include building and evaluating neural network architectures, improving pattern recognition algorithms, writing production-grade code, and integrating models into our core platform. You will contribute to data pipelines, perform experiments to enhance model performance, and ensure responsible, user-centric AI behavior. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lisbon. Qualifications - Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and clean, maintainable code. - Experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition, including training, evaluating, and deploying modern ML models. - Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), especially applied to text classification, information extraction, or document understanding. - Proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, modern ML libraries). - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience building and deploying AI systems in production environments, ideally within SaaS or data-intensive applications. - Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document work thoroughly. - Familiarity with MLOps practices, version control, testing, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus. - Interest in career-tech or HR-tech products and in creating fair, transparent, and inclusive AI experiences for users.
