Role Overview Location: Warsaw( hybrid) Type of contract: UoP The Director of Treasury Functional Engineering leads the unified engineering pillar responsible for core Treasury capabilities, bringing together teams historically organized around Liquidity and Payments. You will own the strategy, execution, and organizational health across cash positioning, liquidity forecasting, treasury processes, payment initiation/controls, and bank connectivity. - Strategic Leadership & AI Transformation: Drive change across the organization by modernizing legacy capabilities into scalable, API-first, event-driven services while embracing AI to revolutionize engineering practices and SDLC efficiency. - Domain Integration: Enhance and Scale Cash, Liquidity, and Payments to keep Kyriba’s leadership on these domains. - People & Culture: Develop engineering managers, architects, and principal engineers across autonomous squads. - Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Product, Architecture, Platform, Security, and Customer Success. Pillar Scope & Functional Domains This Pillar Covers Full End-to-end Treasury Workflows, Spanning - Cash & Liquidity: Bank Account Management, Positioning, forecasting, planning, in-house banking, multilateral netting, and GL reconciliation. - Payments & Controls: Initiation, Payment Factory, release workflows, status tracking, fraud detection, and sanctions screening. Key Responsibilities - Strategy & Modernization - Define and execute the multi-year engineering vision across Cash, Liquidity, and Payments. - Lead architectural evolution toward modular, event-driven, API-first services while maintaining business continuity. - Balance feature delivery, technical debt reduction, system performance, and platformization goals. - Squad & Operational Leadership - Structure cross-functional, autonomous squads with clear ownership, product focus, and success metrics. - Establish robust engineering practices for predictable delivery, release automation, and production reliability. - Promote shared platform adoption - Ensure that your teams are getting the most of the AI tooling available within the company. Drive changes in your team to support the impact of AI on our SDLC - Data, AI-Driven Innovation & Change Management - Act as a catalyst and leader in embracing the AI wave, embedding AI-driven capabilities directly into forecasting, anomaly detection, real-time payment monitoring, and executive decision support. - Embed AI capabilities into forecasting, anomaly detection, payment monitoring, and decision support. - Lead organizational change management to cultivate an AI-first mindset, empowering teams to continually innovate and transform how treasury products are engineered and delivered. - Talent & Collaboration - Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering talent in Warsaw and remote locations. - Foster a collaborative culture aligned across Product, Platform Engineering, Architecture, and Customer Operations. Qualifications & Requirements - Leadership Experience: Proven track record leading multi-squad engineering organizations in SaaS, Fintech, Payments, Treasury, or ERP space. - Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of cash management, liquidity forecasting, payments, banking integrations, or financial risk controls. - Technical Background: Hands-on expertise in distributed systems, modern API architectures, event-driven designs, and legacy cloud migrations. - Execution & Communication: Strong strategic planning skills, ability to manage trade-offs, and fluent English communication for executive stakeholders. Key Success Measures - Team effectiveness is in par with the best in the industry - Demonstrated progress in modernizing core capabilities to an event-driven, API-first architecture. - High performance, quality, and platform availability across core customer treasury workflows. - Increased adoption of shared platform services and scalable engineering leadership bench strength. At Kyriba we value pay transparency and fairness. For new hires, the annual base salary range for this role is zł531,100.00 - zł671,650.00 based on a full-time schedule. Salary can progress beyond this range through sustained performance and demonstrated success in the role. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for variable compensation (eg. performance bonus or commission-based plan) and a long-term incentive. The final package will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and qualifications.
