Data Engineer

Location: Galway (Hybrid – 1 week per month onsite) Duration: 12 Months (Potential Extension) Daily Rate: €500 per day Start Date: ASAP We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the development and enhancement of a modern cloud-based analytics platform, delivering scalable data solutions for reporting, forecasting and business intelligence. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop scalable data models and analytics-ready datasets. - Build and optimise data pipelines using Snowflake and AWS. - Develop cloud-native and event-driven data solutions. - Ensure data quality, governance, security and performance. - Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions. - Support CI/CD, automation and production data platforms. Key Requirements - 6+ years of Data Engineering experience. - Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS and SQL. - Expertise in Data Modelling, data warehousing and query optimisation. - Experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, SNS and SQS. - Knowledge of CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices. - Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis is advantageous. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
