Architect

We are working with a rapidly growing Irish technology organisation that is currently looking to hire an Architect. This is a key leadership position responsible for shaping the technical direction of a highly scalable SaaS platform used by customers globally. The role offers the opportunity to define architecture strategy, influence major technology decisions, and work closely with senior stakeholders while helping drive innovation across cloud, data, platform engineering and AI initiatives. Primary Duties - Define and maintain the long-term architecture strategy and technical roadmap. - Lead architectural decisions across cloud infrastructure, software design, security, scalability and resilience. - Act as the technical authority for architecture standards, design principles and engineering best practices. - Guide engineering teams through complex technical challenges and platform modernisation initiatives. - Drive architecture decisions relating to AI capabilities, cloud-native technologies, CI/CD and observability. - Ensure secure and scalable integration architecture, APIs and data governance frameworks. Requirements - 8+ years' experience in software engineering with significant experience in architecture-focused roles. - Proven experience designing and evolving SaaS or cloud-native platforms. - Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architectures. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP. - Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code. - Experience in data architecture, platform scalability, security and enterprise integrations. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
