Our constantly evolving portfolio of projects includes parts and assemblies for clients in the aerospace and defense industries. At Composite Resources, we embrace a culture defined by teamwork, ownership, and accountability. Who are we looking for? We are looking for highly qualified and experienced Composite Technicians to join our growing team. The Composite Technician will be responsible for hand lay-up of composite materials, vacuum bagging process and procedures, and perform hand-finishing operations. What you get to do! Composite Fabrication - - Perform hand lay-up of composite materials (wet lay-up and prepreg) independently -  Execute vacuum bagging process and procedures from start to finish - Apply a full range of resin systems including epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, silicones, and multi-system jobs - Perform hand-finishing operations on patterns and molds - Own adhesive bonding applications - Own assembly of structures including setup, bonding, and fastener applications - Suggest improvements to work instructions (SOPs) based on floor experience - Perform self-quality checks with high reliability - Read, interpret, and suggest improvements to work instructions (SOPs)Workplace Standards - Work efficiently in fast-paced manufacturing environment - Demonstrate measurement competency using calipers, micrometers, tape measure, and indicators - Maintain attention to detail and accuracy - What you will bring to the Team - Experience range needed: 3 plus years of experience with composite materials (i.e. Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, & Fiberglass) - Prior experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment - High School Diploma or equivalent - Ability to read, interpret, and suggest improvements from work instructions (SOPs) - Measurement competencies-Calipers, Micrometers, Tape measure, Indicators, etc. - Demonstrate hands-on fabrication skills - Experience using a variety of hand tools in cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling - Demonstrated track record of process improvement contributions - Experience with adhesive bonding and structural assembly, multi-system resin applications, structures including setup, bonding, and fastener applications. - Attention to detail and accuracy while working with tight tolerances The BIG payoff We are a company who is going to make a difference in the industries and the communities in which we choose to operate.
